However, this simple concept stumbles on a large number of pitfalls. For example, the amount of resources allocated for the course, unlike most games of the genre, does not increase during the batch, but depends on the disposition. The number is determined primarily by the type of headquarters: for someone, for example, the Americans, this number more. Someone, like the Germans, has less. You can increase production volumes only due to bonuses and equipment put on the table.

But this gives rise to a massive balance problem, the solutions of which simply are not visible. So, the states, from the very beginning, having the opportunity to dump more cards, crushing in number. And at the same time increase their potential even more. At the same time, others cannot and, once missing the moment, obviously lose. At the same time, it is impossible to turn the course of the battle, rolling out a “stained” trump card at the last moment. With this state of affairs, a map of any power throws out onto the table in the first or second move.

Another important characteristic – the strength of the headquarters – is also variable. And from the very beginning, players find themselves in unequal conditions. Soviet troops, for example, have a clear advantage, as owners of the strongest headquarters and the average number of resources. This allows you to play a protracted game with good cards and win with the United States simply due to the number of lives. At the same time, the Germans, the most aggressive, but with a weak headquarters and a small number of resources, look doubtful, because playing with strong cards for them is extremely problematic. This is a matter of so subtle balancing of nations that developers are unlikely to ever achieve the ideal. Although I still want to hope.

Like any other game from Wargaming, Generals hopes to captivate you for a long time. And therefore offers to go a long way before becoming a great master. Get ready for the fact that you will have to play a lot.
